"Staff made the whole visit uncomfortable"
I really wanted to give this place a fair shot, but the staff just made the whole experience awkward. They barely said anything, acted annoyed when I asked a basic question, and it felt like every time I tried to understand what I was supposed to do, the expectations kept changing like they were moving the goalposts on me.
Maybe they were just having an off day, but it left a bad impression. I don’t need anyone to roll out the red carpet, but a little friendliness would’ve gone a long way. I don’t think I’d go back after that.
"Pretty limited scent selection"
I was hoping for a few more fragrance options, but the selection was kind of underwhelming. Somehow none of the scents I actually wanted were available, which was a little disappointing, but I guess that’s one way to make choosing easier.

The store felt cramped and weirdly quiet, so I didn’t really feel comfortable hanging around. I also wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do next or where to go for help, which made the whole visit feel a bit awkward.

"The scents didn’t really fill the room"
I ordered a couple candles from thecandlelab.com, and I really wanted to love them because picking out candles always feels like choosing a little mood for your space. In the jar, the scents were nice enough, but once I lit them, they barely showed up unless I was sitting right next to them.
For the price, I was hoping they’d make the room feel warmer or more inviting, but they ended up feeling weak and flat. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but for me it was a reminder that a good candle has to do more than smell nice before it’s lit. I probably wouldn’t buy these again.

"I’m always a little skeptical of all..."
I’m always a little skeptical of all the fancy candle descriptions brands use, and this one kind of proved my point. It smelled decent, but from the first night it burned unevenly and started tunneling straight down the middle. The wick kept getting buried in the wax too, so I had to keep messing with it. For something that sounded so nice online, it ended up feeling like a waste of wax...
"Candle workshop felt a bit too rushed"
I did the candle workshop and I left feeling like it wasn’t really worth the price. I’m not expecting everything to be perfect, and I get that workshops can get busy, but the staff seemed rushed and the instructions weren’t super clear. I felt like we didn’t get much help unless we really tried to ask for it. My candle ended up looking messy, which I could’ve accepted if the experience itself had felt more guided or fun, but overall it just felt overpriced for what we actually got

"Burned through it way too quickly"
The candle smelled nice, so I’ll give it that, but it was basically gone after two evenings of using it. For the price, I expected it to last a lot longer. I also got inconsistent answers when I tried to figure out the expected burn time, which made the whole thing more frustrating

"not much to customize"
i thought there would be a lot more ways to make the candle feel personal, but the options were limited. the scents and label choices didn’t really let me create what i had in mind. for a site that’s supposed to be custom, it felt kind of basic. i probably wouldn’t order again if i needed something truly personalized.

I’ve emailed customer service a few times now and still haven’t heard anything back. At this point, I’m just tired of chasing a response. I just wanted a simple reply, but it feels like I’m being ignored.

"Really disappointing wax and wick"
I really wanted to like this candle, but the wick kept drowning in the wax and it was frustrating to keep trying to fix it.

"Candle arrived looking rough"
Maybe it’s just me, but when I order a candle, especially one I’m excited about, I expect it to show up in decent shape. This one arrived with the glass chipped and wax smeared around the lid, and the box looked like it had been thrown around with barely any padding inside.
I was hoping it would be nice enough to gift, but it looked messy right out of the box. Disappointing for the price, and not really the experience I was expecting

I’m particular about fragrances, so I was excited to try blending my own scent. The idea itself was really fun, but my final blend turned out kind of odd and not something I’d actually wear. I also wish the staff had been more hands-on with guidance, especially for the price. It was an interesting experience, but it didn’t quite meet my personal standard.

I ordered a candle and it took way longer than it should have to show up. The whole “tracking update” thing was basically useless too, so I was just sitting there wondering where my little wax buddy had disappeared to. Annoying experience overall

"Candle arrived damaged because of the packaging"
I was disappointed when this showed up. The box felt really flimsy, and the candle didn’t seem like it had much protection at all, so by the time I opened it, it was dented and kind of messy. I get that shipping can be rough, but for something this fragile, you’d think they would’ve... I don’t know, packed it better. I probably wouldn’t order again unless they improve the packaging.

"Too pricey for what it is"
Don’t really think this was worth the money. Candle was smaller than I expected for the price, and the scent wasn’t very strong either. Looked really nice online, so I was expecting a bit more.
Shipping made it feel even more expensive, and by the time it arrived, just felt like I paid way too much for a average candle. Wouldn’t buy it again.

"Candle looked way cheaper in person"
I was disappointed when this candle showed up. In the photos it looked nice, but in person it just seemed sloppy. The label was crooked, the color was dull, and it didn’t feel like much care went into it. Whoever runs this really needs to check the quality before sending stuff out.

"Did anyone else have trouble checking out?"
I couldn’t even get my order placed. The site kept freezing right at checkout, and my cart randomly emptied twice. I tried on both my phone and laptop, so I don’t think it was just me? I finally gave up because ordering really shouldn’t be this frustrating, honestly.

"Not the best gift choice :/"
I bought this thinking it would make a nice gift, but it just didn’t come across that way. It looked a bit cheap in person and felt kind of awkward overall... wouldn’t really recommend it as a present.

I tried browsing the site for a bit it kind of drove me nuts. Some pages looked nice and a few things loaded fine, but then other pages felt weirdly slow and clunky. The filters seemed helpful at first, but they didn’t really narrow things down the way I expected. Checkout was also confusing, even though it should’ve been simple. I wanted to like it, but after messing around for a while I just gave up.
